Boise-Nampa Metro Statistical Area
An area also known as the Treasure Valley. It is the state’s largest metro area and includes Idaho’s three largest cities; Boise, Nampa, and Meridian. It also encompasses the municipalities of Caldwell, Eagle, Garden City, Kuna and others.
Five counties in southwestern Idaho comprise the Boise- Nampa MSA; Ada, Boise, Canyon, Gem and Owyhee. Nearly 40 percent of Idaho’s total population lives in the area.
Combined the total population is estimated to be well over 778,000 people in 2020. The metro area is currently the third largest in the Pacific Northwest after Seattle and Portland, and is the 80th largest metropolitan area in the United States.
